No more zune

microsoft just announces that they will discontinue the zune product line to focus on their wp7 products. current units will be sold and support is still there but no more zunes will be made. ever.

im pissed as beeeep right now i just got a 32 gig hd

well from one standpoint, better design and build quality, superior music software. the software allows background converting, plays ipod and window formats. loads faster than media player, no drm and u can share and sync zune between many computers. has superior ui on the player, less prone to freezing. microsoft allows open source on the zune, as in anyone can compile and export code to it and run their own apps and games. microsoft enncourages this in fact. excellent battery life. ive dropped mine in sink, dropped and steppedon it. still works. my best friend found one in a ditch he uses currently. ive taken apart and worked on them, much better than ipod, those are glued together. my zune hd has hd radio receiver and can hook up to my tv with hdmi and play 720p movies at full resolution and scales 1080p to 720p for playback. superior oled display on the zune hd as well. any more questions?

yeah its great. what i like besides all that stuff is i have a huge music collection(300gb) and i can select what i want on the device and then select the bitrate at which it will be on my zune. i could fit 2k songs on my 4 gig zune at 96kbs. also it uses sync groups so if ur zune gets erased or u erase it, it will remember what u had synced on it and resync it if you want.

yeah, i've seen the commercials for it. Seems like a lot of phone for me though. I'd get it if i had the money for it though, and wasn't technologically disadvantaged. I'd only get confused with it, i'm sure.
