How does one go about defying gravity, in a way that does not require thrust or fuel/energy? Simply because of this: "an object in motion tends to stay in motion."

This would be true if gravity could be turned off, and no, magnets wont work for what i'm planning.

If there were such a thing as negative gravity, that would work for sure. Since there isn't, that is a very interesting question. Maybe if you could reverse the charge in all the atoms in whatever you are trying to make defy gravity. I don't know, I'm not a physicist.

hmm... Well, reversing the polarity of... electrons? that might do it. but i don't have a good feeling about that. That might really messing things up. The protons would scatter, and matter as we know it would cease to exist, aka anti-matter. Anti-matter colliding with matter, one massive explosion. i was hoping for an answer that would be as simple as to use only duck tape, wd-40, a few random tools, and a dinner plate or two. Although, if the electrons became positive, and the protons became negative, instead of all 100% positively charged (or 100% negatively charged) atoms falling apart. Then again, what would happen to the neutrons?

and dare i ask, what makes those particles up?

all i want to do is bypass traffic, and avoid having to get a pilots license.
